Carrie James - Miss February

“I still find myself stunned when Maddie came to me about the privilege of being included in her calendar, joining such wonderfully beautiful girls, who I have admired as well as consider true friends in my life . . . simply, February itself may be the shortest month, but with all that is going on in our world and community, perhaps has proven itself as the most powerful!”

Throughout, Carrie has never been anything less than unrelenting passionate about expressing her personal journey as one that has been ‘incredible and inevitable’. It was just finding the right path of being who Carrie is, that has now brought her to the ‘very best place’ in her life.

If you know anything about Carrie, along with being one of the most positive, reflective people you’ll find, you will know her for being sincere, open and exuberant, especially loving in expressing gratitude for the support and inspiration that have been shared through her friendships and relationships.

Carrie James - Life

“Life is a challenge. Life will always be a challenge. For me, it’s about keeping your dignity, stay in the fight, accept, respect and embrace those who you have fortunately found that are indeed sincere, through the good and bad that life brings.”

Professionally, Carrie has had a career primarily in marketing, working on many well-known automotive, financial and transportation brands as well as academic institutions. After the usual industry downsizing, Carrie now finds herself working with several of those same groups, helping direct multi-cultural and LBGTQ+ marketing strategies and targeted creative.

But even more importantly, Carrie values, embraces and respects those personal relationships and friends in her life. Throughout, she is unquestionably loyal and grateful for their support and understanding, helping her to come to this special place, who have continued to help her grow, find fulfillment of her life.  Carrie likes nothing more than meeting her friends, going out or just hanging around, always greeting everyone with a big hug and what has now become famous, joyful, smile.

P.S. Carrie is addicted to watching Seinfeld.

Carrie James – Advocacy and Joy

For the time being, Carrie finds that her personal and professional life have seemingly aligned. Splitting her time between her home in Detroit and Chicago, Carrie sees a platform to help bring recognition to the LBGTQ and multi-cultural communities as viable, sustainable marketing opportunities that not only need to be nurtured, but respected.
